“National Park: a paradise of water”

“Àssua Valley: The valley of the thousand animals and land of shepherds...”

Description: The Àssua Valley is a space that is somewhat unknown by visitors who want to get to know the National Park. A valley with gentle contours and changing colours, going from white in winter to green in spring and ending up with a range of ochre colours covering all the slopes during the summer and autumn. A valley that moves to the sound of the life cycle of the herds. Where walking is hearing the sounds and cowbells and smelling the recently reaped grass.

A land of shepherds that you can find out more about or start to discover if you visit the Shepherds of the Àssua Valley Ecomuseum, housed in the old school buildings of Llessui which will provide you with all the information you need to be able to enjoy the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park.
